Chuck + Shelby | Proposal in the Secret Garden

One thing I really love when I first talk to people about their plans to propose are the ideas they already have and how they envision this moment, when I talked to Chuck the first day, he already had a full, elaborate plan of exactly how this was going to go and honestly, I had little work to do as he had most of it under control.

What wasn’t in Chuck’s plan was a surprise storm hitting us hard about 10 minutes before all the plans were anticipated to unfold for the day. But with stride, he kept it together, still managed to convince Shelby to swing into the secret garden before their dinner plans and pop the question.

And just like the weather was on schedule, things cleared up (minus a few bouts of sprinkling here and there), and allowed for the rest of their day to continue beautifully as he had originally planned.

From making their way to the ferry, to the Grand Hotel’s Secret Garden and a quick loop for freshly engaged portraits - it all worked out and they had an amazing night together as just engaged!
