Brittney + Peter | Engagement at Eben Ice Caves

When Brittney and I talked about her and Peter's engagement photos, she knew immediately that she wanted to include the magic of winter in the Upper Peninsula and pure Michigan vibes.

We discussed a few different options, and then it hit us, Eben Ice Caves! What could be more wintery, adventurous, and magical than engagement pictures at the iconic Eben Ice Caves between Munising and Marquette.

While we had both been there before, it was something more unique that neither of us had seen done before and would be perfect for those of us who love the outdoors, this screams our jam.

So, on a gorgeous Sunday morning, we grabbed our ice cleats, packed a few drinks, and trekked our way down the mile trail to the ice caves, chatting the whole way.

The day couldn't have been more beautiful for them, sun shining, lighting up the ice, 30 degrees in February, chefs kiss! It was beautiful. Plus, being Superbowl Sunday, we didn't encounter too many people along the way, and for the majority of their session had the place to ourselves.

So here’s a few (too many) of my favorite shots from the day. And I cannot wait to celebrate the big day with these two adventurous souls for their Marquette wedding in October!
